About
Dr. Tauheed Shaikh
Dr Tauheed Shaikh is a consultant and current clinical lead for pain services in Buckinghamshire NHS Trust. After qualification from Imperial College medical school, he completed his specialist training in the Oxford deanery. Here much of this training focused on spinal pain, neuromodulation and treatment of nerve entrapments.
Since his appointment as a consultant in 2017 he has widened his specialist interest to a wide range of musculoskeletal pathologies. In particular he uses denervation of major joints to relive pain from hips, knees and shoulders as an alternative to joint replacements. Dr Shaikh specialises in the use of ultrasound and teaches and presents regularly on national courses for doctors and industry.
He prides himself in looking after his patients needs holistically recognising the widespread effects pain can have. With this in mind the aim is to construct an individualised treatment plan through multiple modalities.
