This is a far more common condition than previously recognised. examples are after knee, breast and hernia surgery but it could happen after any operation big or small.

This can be worrying as all scans and reports may be normal. Sometimes these symptoms can develop due to minor nerve injury, entrapment or chronic sensitisation.

This can be treated with desensitisation with medicines and radiofrequency treatment.
